It is with great pleasure that we extend our sincere congratulations to Allison Capota for being named the Student of the Month at Schaumburg High School. This outstanding achievement is a testament to Allison's unwavering dedication, exemplary academic prowess, and significant contributions to our school community.
Throughout her high school journey, Allison has showcased exceptional talents and commitment in various domains, making her an invaluable asset to our community. As a dedicated member of the orchestra, specializing in the violin, and of the band, playing clarinet, Allison's musical talent has not only enriched our cultural environment but has also inspired her peers. Her involvement in the theater program, where she has participated in musicals, fall and winter plays, and served as a student director in Improv and variety shows, reflects her passion for storytelling and self-expression.
Allison's commitment extends beyond the arts, as evidenced by her active participation in the Debate Team, Poetry Club, Tri-M, and National Honor Society. Her leadership role in the orchestra, as part of the Orchestra Leadership Team, further demonstrates her ability to inspire and guide her peers.
Outside of the school environment, Allison has dedicated her time to meaningful volunteer work, contributing to National Honor Society initiatives such as Special Spaces and participating in community events. As a Saxon LIFT mentor for freshmen and a dedicated volunteer at her church's children's ministry, Allison has positively impacted the lives of others.
Her academic achievements, including recognition as an AP Scholar with Honor and 2024-25 State Scholar, reflect her intellectual prowess and commitment to excellence. Despite the demanding nature of her schedule, Allison has skillfully balanced academics, extracurriculars, and personal life. Her time management skills, focus in class, and commitment to a good night's sleep underscore her dedication to maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
As Allison embarks on the next chapter of her journey at Wheaton College, where she plans to major in Psychology and minor in Biblical and Theological Studies, we have no doubt that she will continue to excel and make a positive impact on those around her.
