DISTRICT 211 STUDENTS RECEIVE PRESTIGIOUS NCTE “ACHIEVEMENT AWARD IN WRITING”

To encourage high school students in their writing and to publicly recognize some of the nation’s best student writers, the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) established the “Achievement Award in Writing.”  It is the most prestigious national writers’ recognition for high school juniors.  High School District 211 is proud to announce that William Fremd High School students Julia Cai and Sydney Hill were selected for this award in 2014-2015.  Julia and Sydney were honored for their outstanding achievement at the May 15, 2015 Board of Education meeting.
