Freshman Kick-Off and Building Tour information

  •  We Are SHS

    Schaumburg Saxons!

We are excited to offer Freshman Kick-Off (FKO) on Thursday, August 6th at 10:00 a.m.  FKO is specially designed for incoming freshmen to meet their counselor, learn about the start of school, explore high school opportunities, and get advice from Student Ambassadors.  This year, FKO will be held virtually via Zoom.  Please check your email for your counselor’s specific FKO session link.

In addition, incoming freshmen will have the opportunity to visit Schaumburg High School for a short, 20-minute tour on either Thursday, August 6th, or Friday, August 7th.  While students will not be able to follow their actual class schedule, the main areas of the building will be included in the guided tour.  Lastly, in order to accommodate as many students as possible, we encourage families to consider this opportunity “for students only”.  Parents who must accompany their student, are welcomed to attend, but please limit to one adult.

To sign up for an “Incoming Freshman Building Tour”, please click here.  All participants must bring their own masks and prepare to follow all state and District 211 safety protocols.

Please contact SHS’s Student Services Office at 847-755-4630 if questions arise.
