Career Presentation: Electrician Apprenticeships - Earn & Learn: Friday, Oct 25th “B” Day, 15-minute tours during Block 2. Are you interested in being paid to learn a trade? Come to the HEHS parking lot, tour the Electrical Trade Trailer sponsored by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Chicago Local 134. Individuals accepted into the Electrical Apprenticeship program earn $19.74 an hour to start; after completing the 5-year program, they earn $49.35 an hour and will have over 50 hours of college credit towards an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Construction Technology. Learn about careers in collectible and vintage automobile restoration and repair, specialty transport and collectible vehicle auctions. Cupcakes with Friends
On Saturday, October 26, join us from 11am - 2pm for Cupcakes with Friends, an incredible event to raise money for Hoffman Estates High School Special Education programs! Competitive Cheerleading Tryouts
The HEHS Co-Ed Cheerleading Program is hosting open gyms beginning this Wednesday from 3-4pm. Open gyms will run until October 23rd. There will be a brief tryout meeting on October 16th at 3:00pm in room 152. Tryouts will be on October 28th from 3:15-6:15pm. Please pick up a tryout packet in the main office if you are interested in trying out. See coach Stutzman in the Special Education Office if you have any questions.

Career Trek - Engineering and Construction
Learn about the skills and job functions needed to design, construct and maintain roads, rails, airports, and waterways used by 621 million Illinois travelers a year. We will meet with Materials, Civil, and Electrical Engineers in addition to other IDoT employees on November 19 to learn about their jobs, visit their Materials Science lab, and tour their Communications Center that operates 24/7 to monitor the roads in northeastern Illinois.
